I doodled this up, probably some time early 2009, when we thought to cut the site down to a Marathons-only affair. You can tell because a lot of the extra fluff on the navigation bar had been drastically scaled back from the earliest mockups.

There existed a load of other, earlier concept drawings I made while I was a sophomore in high school. I've looked for them and they either hidden away in an old notebook somewhere or ended up in the garbage.

(And how about those screenshots, eh? Almost indistinguishable from the real thing.)

Fun fact: Before settling on the name ExtraLives.org, I was kicking around other ideas for the site. I've forgotten most of them except for quite possibly the worst one-- CHARIGAMERS. Because... ...gamers... and charity...

Man, am I glad someone talked me out of that one.
